The Oratorical Festival was held on Sunday, February 23. All Holy Spirit Youth did a great job and the presentations were very informative!

Thank you to all the students who participated and their presentations:

Elementary Division: Sophia Hoegemeyer, ‘St. Spyridon’; Masha Hoegemeyer, ‘Saint Matrona of   Moscow’; Demi Kosel, ’Why  we go to Church’; and Rhys Nader, ‘Revelations, 22:16-19’. 

Junior Division: First Place—Raiyah Nader ‘Wealth as a Sin’; Second Place—Mia Kosel, ‘The Role of the Theotokos’; Third Place— Katrina Bakke, ‘Wealth as a Sin’; Tannen Honke, ‘Lord Have Mercy’; and Tristen Honke, ‘The Role of the Theotokos’.

Senior Division: Gabriella Laws, ‘Hospitality to Strangers’.

Congratulations to Raiyah Nader and Gabriella Laws who are eligible to participate in the Metropolis Oratorical Festival being held March 27th—March 29th at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Tulsa Oklahoma.

Deb McDonnell has been a member of All Holy Spirit, since it's inception June, 2006. Deb worked for the Omaha Public Power District in the Engineering Division from May of 1979, until her retirement in February, 2016, and has a Bachelors Degree in Business Leadership from College of St. Mary, Omaha. Deb assisted her mom, Joan Rakes, in the office for a few months before accepting a position in the office as an Administrative Assistant. Deb is an active in All Holy Spirit's Sunday School, Philoptochos and Choir. Deb and her husband Jim have 3 sons, 1 daughter and 2 grandsons.
