All Holy Spirit Fish Fry

All Holy Spirit Greek Orthodox FISH FRY ~ A Church Community Event

From the start of the fish fry in Milwaukee in the 1860s to today’s Lenten tradition, fun and a great meal with family and friends on a Friday night continues to be the underlying theme. An added benefit is the events raise money for the church and various causes.

Although a fairly new entrant to the Friday night fish fry market, All Holy Spirit Greek Orthodox Church quickly became one of the leading Fish Fry hosts in Omaha. Our unique menu with a Mediterranean flare and quick and friendly service appealed to the masses. Our menu includes fried cod, fish taco, Mediterranean style baked tilapia, butterfly or bang-bang shrimp, baked salmon, fried walleye, Calamari, Saganaki, or Hummus with Pita Chips. Don’t like fish? You can see we have other choices including mac and cheese and, of course, baklava and a wide variety of beverages.

Although hosted by the men’s group of our church, the event is always a whole church community event. With a shout out to our quick and efficient kitchen staff up to 190 meals are every 30 minutes.

The majority of the profits help fund the future building of our church home as we break ground on our property near 192nd. However, in 2019, we also raised and contributed close to $8,000 in cash and supplies to flood relief in the Midwest.

In 2022 the we will again host the fish fry in the Autism Center gymnasium every Friday from March 4 until April 15. We hope you make this a fun friends and family tradition while helping support our fundraising efforts.
